Pavilion proved to be one of the most popular attractions
The exhibition, with some exciting and innovative new additions moves to
Cape Town and will be held from 8 to 10 March 2010 at Cape Town
International Convention Centre, from 10am - 6pm daily. This is timed
perfectly to accommodate the expected high influx of international visitors
to the 2010 Soccer World Cup.
This exhibition, the largest Cape show, attracted 5959 visitors when it was
hosted in Cape Town in 2008. 181 exhibitors took advantage of the
opportunity to reach their target market.
Favourite attractions to be found at the 2010 Cape event include the SA
Chefs Pavilion and the Home Grown/SME Village. The highly successful Global
Pizza Challenge which attracted an entry from radio personality, Jeremy
Mansfield, of 94.7 at the Gauteng event will be included in the Cape
programme.
An international food and beverage section will be found at the Cape event
for the first time. The organisers will be bringing IFE, which is a UK
food and beverage exhibition run by Fresh RM to run alongside Hostex Cape.
This section will include international pavilions and further enhance the
global flavour of the expo.
The Cape region will provide the perfect backdrop to launch a new “Wine
Circle”. This new initiative will enable wine producers to showcase their
wine offerings to the trade. This section will provide visitors with the
opportunity to sit down in a relaxed environment and taste the wines on
offer.
Specialised Exhibitions also plan to include an exhibitor networking
function at this and future Hostex events.
Exhibitors intending to participate are advised to secure their bookings
now as space is rapidly selling out. The Gauteng exhibition was so popular
that a waiting list had to be initiated.
The 2011 Gauteng event will have a slightly amended format with students
being permitted to visit on only one day. Technikons and Hotel Schools will
be informed of this in writing by the organisers. Show times will be
slightly different on the first and last days with a closing time on those
days of 5pm.
Specialised Exhibitions are delighted to announce that Hotel and Restaurant
will remain their media partner for both the Cape 2010 and Gauteng 2011
events.
